The palm trees that line the road to the Seppelt Winery are an enduring symbol of the traditionally egalitarian nature of the Barossa community. Follow the avenue of these stately trees to the home and hearth of Australia's fortified wines for a tour of the original, innovative wine making operation and the family-built village surrounding it.

The Barossa is renowned throughout the world as one of Australia's best known wine regions, with its fertile soil and Mediterranean-like climate producing great wines. But the Barossa is so much more than winemaking, with a distinctive culinary tradition that can be traced back to the early European Settlers. The Slow Food movement is dedicated to preserving these traditions, values and regional identity, through promoting the use of regional produce, restoring time-honoured methods of production and preparation, and sharing food at communal tables.

Seppelt is proud to be a part of the Barossa Slow Festival with the 'The Avenue of Hope and Dreams'. You will follow the avenue of stately palm trees to the home and hearth of Australia's fortified wines for a tour of the original, innovative winemaking operation and the family built village surrounding it. A glass of sherry, a taste of local delicacies, a glimpse into history and your Barossa Slow begins.
